Earbud earphones are certainly not one of the “cutting edge” models of headphones that are all about audio quality. On the other hand, these earphones are very cheap for an earphone and are also small enough to be kept in your pocket and brought anywhere you want to.
This is the very reason why numerous music aficionados still do not replace these earphones, even if there are several other earphones with other models that are more advanced in the market. So if you belong to this group of aficionados, then it is a good idea to learn just how you can clean your earphones and keep them in tiptop shape for more years to come.
Dirt and other filthy particles can enter your earphones’ earbuds eventually, particularly when not in use. Moreover, sweat and wax of the user can also add up to the dirt in the earphones. And the bad news is that the dirt that amassed your earphones can not only be disgusting but can also contribute complications and harm to the ear, ear infections in particular.
This is the very reason why it is a must that you learn the right procedure in tidying your earbud earphones. Wiping alone is not enough to clean all the dirt from your earphones. You should make use of a cleaning solution, one that is able to loosen dirt that hardened in your earphone parts overtime. In order to produce a solution, you may opt to make use of hydrogen peroxide or simply mixing soap and warm water.
To start cleaning your earphones, you should obviously remove it from the gadget to where it is attached. Keep the gadget away and, if ever, remove it from an outlet or any other power source so electrocution and grounding may be avoided.
Once you have done this, you may now stir your solution. Once it is slippery, dip a cloth on the solution you made and squeeze out the remaining fluids from the cloth. In doing so, the water will be prevented from flowing into the earphones. Water inside the wirings can be a cause of malfunction in the earphones. Apply the solution in the part of the earphone that needs to be cleaned.
You should also make sure that soap does not enter the holes in the earbud earphones to prevent malfunctions. If the earphone’s mesh collected too much dirt, the liquid solution is not to be used. Instead, find an old toothbrush and simply scrape away the dirt stuck in it.
Since you know the simple steps in maintaining the cleanliness of your earbud earphones, you will never have to worry yourself from any fault in your earphones. You can also avoid any infections. By following this method of cleaning, you may set aside some of your money and effort for buying new earphones.
